The View co-host and author herself Sunny Hostin is inviting fans and fellow readers to join her in what she’s reading next with the launch of her very own book club.
“Introducing Sunny’s Shelf!” she announced on Instagram on Tuesday. “A monthly book club featuring what I’m reading — and what you should be reading. Let’s discover powerful stories, celebrate authors, and build a beautiful bookshelf together.”

Hostin, who joined The View in 2016, has also authored her “Summer” series, which focuses on historically black beaches, with titles including “Summer on the Bluffs,” “Summer on Sag Harbor,” and “Summer on Hyland Beach.”
“So many people don’t know about HBBCs, it’s a federal designation for Historically Black Beach Communities,” she explained while promoting her most recent installment of the series on GMA last year. “What I wanted to do was sort of, we see this erasure of our American history, so I wanted to send this love letter out and tell people there are these beautiful places of wealth of excellence of love of friendship.”
“My readers from the first book want to know more and more and more,” she added.
Hostin has also used her role on The View to promote various other titles throughout her time as host.
“Sunny’s Shelf” is latest of celebrity book clubs for readers to follow. Other popular book clubs coordinated by A-listers include Jenna Bush Hager‘s “Read With Jenna” and Reese Witherspoon’s “Hello Sunshine.”
