Las Vegas Aces guard Dana Evans has fired back at critics after capturing the second championship of her career. Throughout the 2025 WNBA Finals, Evans found herself in the middle of several heated moments on the court, drawing even more scrutiny from opposing fanbases.
On Sunday, the 5-foot-6 spark plug turned to X to address the constant negativity directed her way. Evans has become a crucial bench piece during the Aces’ title run, providing instant offense and relentless energy.
“Y’all talked wild about me for over a year, but I’m supposed to stay quiet? LMAOOO… not so fun when the rabbit’s the one holding the gun 🤪🤪,” she posted, instantly stirring conversation across WNBA circles.

Evans joined Las Vegas in February after being traded from the Chicago Sky, where she spent her first three seasons. She opened the 2024 campaign as Chicago’s starting point guard, but after just a dozen games her minutes dipped, leaving her frustrated and eventually pushing her to request a move. The messy split with the Sky only fueled ongoing criticism from Chicago fans, who have continued to target her online.
Although Evans didn’t name anyone directly, her “last laugh” comment quickly caught the attention of Sky supporters, many interpreting it as a direct shot at them.
In the Finals, Evans produced one of her best stretches in an Aces uniform. Her breakout came in Game 1, where she erupted for 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting — including a blistering 5-of-6 from deep — leading Las Vegas to an 89–86 comeback over the Phoenix Mercury.

Four-time MVP A’ja Wilson praised her teammate’s impact afterward:
“Dana’s our battery. She changes our pace. When she’s rolling, we follow. She’s incredibly tough to guard in this league.”
Evans appeared in all 44 regular-season games, averaging 6.6 points and 2.2 assists, but her real value showed in the postseason, where her hustle, shot-making, and fire provided the Aces with momentum in critical moments. Even when her numbers didn’t jump off the page, her presence was essential to Las Vegas’ championship run.
