Fenerbahce continued their unstoppable run in the EuroLeague, dismantling Italy’s Venezia 96-48 on the first matchday of the second group phase.
Despite Venezia sharing second place in the standings, the Turkish powerhouse, led by Emma Meesseman and Julie Allemand, made an immediate statement. By the end of the first quarter, Fenerbahce had already built an overwhelming 30-2 lead, setting the tone for the rest of the game.

The following quarters (23-19, 22-20, 21-7) only deepened the gap as the reigning 2023 and 2024 champions maintained control without needing to press the gas pedal.
Iliana Rupert starred with 20 points, eight rebounds, and two assists, carrying much of the team’s firepower. Meesseman contributed seven points, three rebounds, and two assists in 21 minutes, while Allemand orchestrated the offense with 10 assists, adding five points and nine rebounds in 27 minutes.

With the win, Fenerbahce tops Group F with a perfect 14-point record. Landes, led by Becky Massey, sits in second place with 12 points after a 77-70 away win against Hungary’s Huntherm.

Massey scored seven points, grabbed three rebounds, and recorded an assist in 22 minutes, keeping Landes within striking distance of the group leaders.
Fenerbahce’s early-season dominance sends a clear message: they are determined to defend their EuroLeague crown.
