
“Sex and the City” and “And Just Like That…” star Sarah Jessica Parker is set to receive the Golden Globes‘ 2026 Carol Burnett Award. Parker will be presented the award during the second-ever Globes-themed “Golden Eve” special, set to air Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
“Golden Eve” will also feature, as previously announced, Dame Helen Mirren accepting the Globes’ 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award. Both the Cecil B. DeMille and the Carol Burnett used to be given out during the regular Golden Globes telecast, but last year they were been moved to the Thursday before the Globes in order to create a new major event as part of a Globes weekend.

Parker is a six-time Golden Globes winner (all for “Sex and the City”), having won for best actress in a musical or comedy (2000, 2001, 2002 and 2004), as well as best television series — comedy or drama) (as an exec producer) in 2001 and 2002.

Parker is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Carrie Bradshaw in HBO’s “Sex and the City”and Max’s “And Just Like That…” Her filmography also includes ‘Hocus Pocus’ and ‘Hocus Pocus 2,’ ‘The Family Stone,’ ‘Failure to Launch,’The First Wives Club,’ ‘Ed Wood’ and ‘Mars Attacks!’, among many others.
“Golden Eve” will air as a marquee event during ‘Golden Week,’ described as a “week-long Golden Globes-branded experience across Paramount platforms as well as celebratory kick-off events ahead of the 83rd Golden Globes, the first major award show of the season, airing live Sunday, January 11, 2026 and hosted by acclaimed Golden Globe, Grammy and Emmy-nominated comedian and actress Nikki Glaser.

First created in 1952 and honoring the eponymous director, The Cecil B. DeMille Award has been given out to 69 winners; the Carol Burnett Award was launched in 2019 for TV achievement.
