We need to talk about Steph and that Speedy interview. Are we really not going to mention how he made time for Speedy’s podcast but not ours? I’m kidding… kind of. Today’s their anniversary anyway. Shout-out to Stephen and Ayesha — happy anniversary! I should text them. How many years have they been married? Fifty-one? Twelve months? We’ll ask later.
So, he went on Speedy’s podcast, right? Yes — and we need to talk about the fact that he looks up his own highlights when he’s bored. That’s amazing. I don’t even have enough highlights to look up. Mine would be like four minutes long.
Do you remember when he said he used to read hate comments on Twitter whenever he needed to… like, what was it? I wasn’t there, but I was next to him in the locker room. What happened? He would literally type in his own name on Twitter at halftime and read stuff like, “Oh, Stephen Curry this, whatever.” He’d scroll for a minute or two, close his phone, put it down — and then go insane in the second half.

People even started purposely writing hate comments so he’d see them and get fired up. And one time, Kerith Burke — one of the Warriors’ reporters — tweeted right before halftime: “Steph, if you see this, I want you to do airplane arms after you make a three.” And then he made a three, boom — and later in the late third or early fourth, he hit another one and ran down the court doing airplane arms.
He’s just a big kid. Could you do that? Go on social media for motivation? No. I’m a sensitive gangster. A sensitive gangster, yes — absolutely not. I couldn’t do it. People are mean. They’re built differently. What, are you going to go down in history as a sensitive gangster? Yes.
I forgot he was locked into that bit. The hood references are crazy, but perfect.
Was he promoting something? Thanks. Was he promoting anything on that pod or not? So… what about us, Steph? Oh, wait — he does have something coming. A movie is coming out. Oh, so we’re not cool enough to promote it? We literally just watched the trailer too. It looks pretty good.
It looks cool. Cute movie. It’s about an actual goat… or no? About a goat who’s undersized and dreams of being the best at—something-ball. It’s like a basketball thing. And it looks really cute. Steph is supposed to be the voice of a giraffe, I think.
What is going on with kids’ movies these days? I love kids’ movies. I watched Sing for the first time — amazing. Big fan. Sing. Sing. Sing is so good. Sing and Sing 2. Sing 2 is… Mufasa is great. I haven’t watched that one, but I do know what you’re talking about.
I loved that movie. And now that you have two boys, you will too. It’s so cute. Brother Bear — that’s my favorite. Oh yeah, Brother Bear is adorable. I haven’t seen that in a while. I should watch more kids’ movies.
