
New York Liberty fans have reason to celebrate: Breanna Stewart is staying with the team. On Saturday, the Liberty officially announced that Stewart has re-signed, keeping the star who led them to their first WNBA championship last season.
Stewart, a multiple-time MVP and Finals MVP, remains one of the leagueās most accomplished and influential players.

Since joining New York in 2023 to be closer to her hometown, Stewart has been a dominant force, excelling in scoring, rebounding, and defense. She recently had arthroscopic surgery on her right meniscus but is expected to be fully recovered for training camp next month.
She also stayed active in the offseason, playing in Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 league she co-founded.
The Liberty return almost the same starting lineup from last yearās championship team and added guard Natasha Cloud in a trade, strengthening their roster even further

. With Stewart back, New York looks poised to defend its crown and chase another WNBA title.
