The Mets have agreed to a minor league deal with Carl Edwards Jr.
The right-hander, who was initially a 48th round pick by Texas in 2011 has appeared in 300 games across parts of 10 seasons and has suited for eight teams. The Mets will be his ninth.

Edwards appeared in a handful of games for the Blue Jays in 2021.
After being released by Atlanta, he signed a minor league contract with Toronto in May of that year.
He appeared in six games before a left oblique strain forced him to the 60 day IL. He was released in August.
During his time with the Jays, he was 0-0 with a 6.75 ERA and five strikeouts in 5.1 innings.
