The NFL trade market just took a dramatic turn.
One of the league’s most feared pass rushers is suddenly available—but his price tag may be scaring teams away.

Maxx Crosby Trade Drama Intensifies as Cowboys Back Out After Raiders Demand Massive Price
The Maxx Crosby trade saga is quickly becoming one of the most intense storylines of the NFL offseason.
The Las Vegas Raiders’ superstar pass rusher has emerged as one of the most coveted players on the trade market. But just as negotiations began heating up, one major suitor has already walked away from the table.

The reason? The Raiders’ sky-high asking price.
Raiders Set a Massive Price for Crosby
According to reports, the Raiders are demanding two first-round draft picks in exchange for Crosby.
That steep price has already caused serious hesitation across the league — and it just pushed one team out of the race.

The Dallas Cowboys, who had been strongly linked to Crosby, have reportedly backed off trade talks after the Raiders increased their demands.
Instead, Dallas is now shifting its focus toward another pass-rush option: Cincinnati Bengals free-agent EDGE Trey Hendrickson.
Unlike Crosby, Hendrickson would cost only money instead of valuable draft picks, making him a far less expensive acquisition in terms of long-term assets.
But the Cowboys may face stiff competition for Hendrickson once free agency opens.

Crosby Remains One of the League’s Most Valuable Defenders
Even with the high asking price, interest in Crosby remains strong.
The 29-year-old edge rusher has built a reputation as one of the most relentless defenders in football. His high motor, consistent pressure on quarterbacks, and ability to dominate offensive lines make him a rare commodity.
Just last year, Crosby signed a massive $106.5 million contract extension, including $91.5 million in guaranteed money, highlighting his elite status at a premium position.
Still, the Raiders appear increasingly willing to move him.

Why?
Because the team is facing a harsh reality: their roster has too many holes to compete for a championship right now.
Trading Crosby could allow Las Vegas to stockpile draft capital and accelerate a rebuild.
Several Teams Still in the Hunt
Despite Dallas dropping out, the bidding war may be far from over.
Multiple teams have reportedly been monitoring the situation closely, including:
Chicago Bears
Philadelphia Eagles
New England Patriots
Baltimore Ravens
Chicago could be particularly intriguing after recently acquiring additional draft capital — including the No. 60 overall pick — through the trade that sent wide receiver DJ Moore to the Buffalo Bills.
Meanwhile, contenders like the Eagles and Ravens may see Crosby as the final piece of a championship-caliber defense.

Is Crosby Worth Two First-Round Picks?
That question is now dominating conversations across the NFL.
Crosby remains an elite player, but he’s also approaching his 29th birthday, meaning teams acquiring him would likely be investing in the later years of his prime.
Because of that, only contending teams are expected to seriously consider paying such a steep price.
Those teams would likely assume that the draft picks they surrender would land later in the first round anyway if Crosby helps them win.
Still, two first-round picks remains a bold demand — even for a star defender.
Raiders Hold the Leverage
For now, the Raiders appear willing to wait.
With multiple teams interested and Crosby still performing at an elite level, Las Vegas can afford to be patient and hold out for the best possible offer.
And in a league where elite pass rushers are among the most valuable assets, it only takes one aggressive contender to pull the trigger.
The question now isn’t whether teams want Maxx Crosby.
It’s whether anyone is willing to pay the price.
