“The Chiefs desperately need somebody that can defeat man coverage,” Reid explained on NFL Live. “There was nobody better in the country last season than Carnell Tate.”

Tate’s ability to win one-on-one matchups downfield has become one of his defining traits.

At 6-foot-2 and 193 pounds, he combines size, fluid movement, and strong ball skills — giving him the ability to beat defenders vertically or make contested catches when coverage is tight.
