The phones are ringing at Halas Hall — and not quietly.
Multiple teams are reportedly calling the Chicago Bears about potential trades… and some of the names involved could shake the roster to its core.

Trade Buzz Explodes: Teams Calling Bears About Gervon Dexter, DJ Moore & Tyson Bagent
The Chicago Bears just won the NFC North — and now the league is circling.
According to Jordan Schultz, multiple teams have contacted Chicago to inquire about defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. That’s right — plural.
Dexter, 24, is entering the final year of his rookie contract after posting a career-high six sacks in 2025. Originally drafted in the second round in 2023 under former head coach Matt Eberflus, Dexter showed flashes of becoming a long-term interior disruptor.

But here’s the twist.
With new defensive coordinator Dennis Allen installing his own system, the Bears may view the defensive line differently. If Dexter isn’t a clean schematic fit in Allen’s vision, Chicago could at least entertain offers rather than risk losing him for nothing next offseason.
This isn’t confirmation he’s on the block — but it’s confirmation there’s interest.
And it doesn’t stop there.
Schultz also reports that teams have reached out about backup quarterback Tyson Bagent and star wide receiver DJ Moore.

Bagent’s name surfaced last week when reports indicated the Arizona Cardinals were “intrigued.” According to PHNX, Arizona could potentially offer a fourth- or fifth-round pick that escalates to a second depending on playing time.
That’s real value for a backup quarterback.
But the DJ Moore chatter? That’s the one that makes Bears fans uneasy.
Moore has been central to Chicago’s offensive resurgence. Yet Bears GM Ryan Poles was notably noncommittal about Moore’s long-term future when asked about the 2026 roster.

Now add this layer: NFL insider Tom Pelissero believes there’s a strong chance the Raiders trade edge rusher Maxx Crosby before free agency.
Suddenly, the dots start connecting.
If Chicago is aggressively exploring a Crosby move, Dexter and Moore could become key trade chips. Pair that with draft capital and you’re talking about a franchise-altering decision.
This is the tightrope of contention.

The Bears are no longer rebuilding. They’re competing. But contenders still have to decide when to consolidate talent and when to double down on what’s working.
Trading Dexter could be strategic roster management.
Trading Bagent could be smart asset conversion.
Trading Moore? That’s a headline-grabbing gamble.

The combine always sparks rumors.
But when multiple teams are calling about multiple players, it’s more than background noise.
The Bears aren’t just being evaluated anymore.
They’re being hunted.
