Prince William is reportedly “hurt and angry” by what he perceives as his family’s attempts to sabotage him. Earlier this month, the Prince of Wales embarked on a five-day journey to Brazil for COP30, attending the summit to deliver speeches and champion his Earthshot Prize, his premier environmental initiative designed to combat the climate crisis.
While Kensington Palace was undoubtedly anticipating that all attention would focus on William, 43, that scenario failed to materialize. This was because simultaneously back in the UK, King Charles was bestowing upon David Beckham a knighthood for his contributions to soccer and charitable work.
The choice to conduct Sir David’s knighthood ceremony during the exact period he was supposed to be garnering positive media attention allegedly left William furious. Speaking to The Royalist, a source revealed: “Of all weeks. This was the one week he needed the family to be pulling for him. Instead, it felt like they were pulling against him. He was left hurt and angry.” It comes after the Beckhams were accused of mocking Meghan Markle with a ‘wicked’ sense of humor following the knighthood.

They continued: “The family sabotaged it from beginning to end. It was pathetic, like the worst of the bad old days.”
It wasn’t solely the scheduling of David’s knighthood that irritated William, as his journey was also eclipsed by his brother’s visit to Canada for “Rememberancetide”, reports.
Prince Harry rejected claims of deliberately attempting to eclipse William, issuing a statement asserting that the Royal household was notified beforehand “as a courtesy.”
However, The Times reports that neither Buckingham Palace nor Kensington Palace received this notice, sparking questions about whether the message was actually sent.

An insider described it as “a bit rum” that either palace had been informed prior to the announcement, noting that it was news to them. The Duke of Sussex’s office remained silent when questioned about when they had informed the palaces.
While in Toronto, Harry had the opportunity to meet soldiers from the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, troops from the Royal Regiment of Canada, and veterans at Sunnybrook Hospital.
