Arsenal’s victory over Chelsea delivered another huge moment in the Premier League title race—but one unexpected scene during the celebrations quickly stole the spotlight.
William Saliba’s Celebration Sparks Unexpected Moment with Arsenal Ball Boy After Chelsea Win

Arsenal’s crucial victory over Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium was filled with big goals, drama, and another step toward the Premier League title. But amid the celebrations, a brief and surprising moment involving William Saliba and a ball boy caught the attention of fans watching the broadcast.
Mikel Arteta’s side secured an important 2–1 win on Sunday, keeping the Gunners firmly at the top of the Premier League table with a five-point advantage. The victory was another statement in Arsenal’s relentless push for the title.
The match began with Arsenal asserting early pressure, and it was defender William Saliba who broke the deadlock in the first half. Rising highest in the box, the French centre-back nodded home from Gabriel Magalhães’ clever header across goal, sending the Emirates crowd into celebration.

Chelsea, however, refused to collapse.
The visitors managed to pull themselves level after the break when a deflection resulted in a Piero Hincapié own goal, briefly shifting the momentum and raising tension inside the stadium.
But Arsenal responded.
After a shaky opening to the second half, the Gunners regained control through another set-piece situation. Defender Jurrien Timber stepped up to deliver the decisive blow, converting the chance to restore Arsenal’s lead and ultimately secure all three points.
As Arsenal players rushed to celebrate Timber’s goal, television cameras captured a moment that viewers at home quickly noticed.

While sprinting past the corner area during the celebrations, Saliba struck a stationary ball sitting on top of a cone—sending it flying toward the crowd.
The unexpected kick startled one of the Arsenal ball boys positioned nearby. Footage showed the young helper flinching and throwing his arms into the air in frustration before turning to track where the ball had landed among the supporters.
Moments later, he appeared to check the stands before retrieving the cone where the ball had originally been placed.
It was a brief scene that many fans inside the stadium likely missed, but television coverage made the reaction visible—and it quickly became a talking point online.

Despite the small moment of chaos, Arsenal’s victory remained the main story of the night.
The three points allowed Arteta’s team to maintain their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League, keeping their title ambitions firmly on track as the season approaches its decisive stretch.
The match also contained another dramatic incident involving Chelsea winger Pedro Neto.
Late in the game, Neto was shown a red card after committing a reckless challenge on Gabriel Martinelli. Initially, some confusion surrounded the dismissal, as it wasn’t immediately clear when he had received his first yellow card.
It was later confirmed that referee Darren England had previously cautioned the winger for dissent following Timber’s goal.

Speaking after the match, Arteta praised his team’s performance but admitted the game presented moments that Arsenal must learn from.
“We had that feeling for a long time,” the Arsenal manager said. “When you are in this phase of the season, you must continue to win again and again. Even when you win many matches, it is not always enough to create a bigger gap.”
Arteta also acknowledged that his side should have been more clinical earlier in the match.
“For big periods the team performed excellently,” he explained. “The margin should have been bigger at half-time.”

The Spanish coach also gave credit to Chelsea, highlighting the quality of their midfield and attacking players, including Cole Palmer, Moisés Caicedo, and Enzo Fernández.
According to Arteta, even after Chelsea were reduced to ten men, they remained dangerous thanks to their ability to operate in tight spaces and create opportunities quickly.
“They are a top side,” he said. “They have players with big personalities and they are very well coached.”
For Arsenal, though, the focus remains simple: keep winning.
And while Saliba’s unexpected ball-boy moment may have added a humorous twist to the celebrations, the bigger picture is clear—the Gunners are still firmly in control of the Premier League title race.
