LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Girls Leadership, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls and gender-expansive youth, has announced that WNBA champion and MVP A’ja Wilson will be honored at the Power of Voice Celebration on Nov. 18 in New York City.
The event, taking place at Tribeca 360, will also recognize Carolyn Tisch Blodgett, CEO and Founder of Next 3 and Governor of Gotham FC, and Kimberly Davis, President of the NHL Foundation.
These honorees are celebrated for their contributions to equity, inclusion, and community impact through sports and leadership.

Simone Marean, Co-CEO and Founder of Girls Leadership, expressed excitement about Wilson’s participation, stating, “A’ja shows girls everywhere that leadership is built by staying true to yourself, committed to your team, and persistent in your commitment to excellence.”
Wilson, known for her advocacy in mental health, educational equity, and social justice, is praised for inspiring girls and women to own their power and voice.
The event will focus on the impact of girls and women in sports, highlighting how sports foster confidence, connection, and leadership.

Attendees will hear inspiring conversations with the honorees, who will thank individuals who helped them find their voice.
