A rising NFL draft star just made his dream destination crystal clear.
And it could reunite one of college footballās most electric duos in Chicago.

Denzel Boston Pushes for Bears Reunion With Rome Odunze Ahead of NFL Draft
As the 2026 NFL Draft approaches, one intriguing storyline is beginning to gain traction in Chicago ā and it starts with a simple message from Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston.
He wants to play with Rome Odunze again.
Boston, a projected first-round pick, recently spoke at the NFL Combine about the possibility of joining his former college teammate with the Chicago Bears, and his enthusiasm was impossible to miss.

āRome, thatās my guy,ā Boston said. āHeās the one that taught me patience. Heās the one that taught me fortitude with the game and understanding what you put into the game is what youāre gonna get out of the game.ā
For Boston, the idea of reuniting with Odunze at the next level isnāt just appealing ā it would feel like coming home.
A Brotherhood Built at Washington
Boston and Odunze built a strong bond during their time with the Washington Huskies, where Odunze emerged as one of the most dominant receivers in college football.

Odunzeās leadership left a lasting impact on Boston, who credits him for shaping his mindset and work ethic.
Now, Boston is following in Odunzeās footsteps.
Two years after Odunze was selected No. 9 overall by the Chicago Bears in the 2024 NFL Draft, Boston has risen into first-round territory himself.
And the possibility of reuniting with his former mentor has him excited.
āIt would be everything,ā Boston said. āI love Rome, and being with Rome would honestly just give me a sense of having a big brother on my team again.ā
The idea of catching passes from Bears quarterback Caleb Williams also adds to the appeal.
āAnd then get to play with Caleb Williams as well ā another electric QB I got to watch play from the sidelines when I was younger ā that would just be a fantastic time.ā
Could Chicago Actually Draft Him?

The Bears currently hold the No. 25 pick in the first round, placing them in a potential position to select Boston if he remains available.
According to ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr., Boston is expected to be the fourth wide receiver taken in the draft, potentially landing somewhere in the mid-to-late first round.
Kiper praised Bostonās ability to dominate defensive backs with his physical style and impressive catch radius.
Last season, Boston recorded 881 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns, showcasing the production that has made him one of the most intriguing wide receiver prospects in the class.
But the Bears May Have Other Priorities

Despite Bostonās interest in Chicago, the reality is that the Bears may not be looking for another receiver.
Chicago already invested heavily in pass catchers during the 2025 draft, selecting:
Tight end Colston Loveland (No. 10 overall)
Wide receiver Luther Burden III (No. 39 overall)
Combined with Odunze and veteran receiver DJ Moore, the Bears already have a crowded receiving room.
Because of that depth, Chicago may prioritize other needs ā particularly along the defensive line, where the team is expected to target an edge rusher or defensive tackle.
Still, the draft rarely unfolds exactly as expected.
And if Boston somehow falls into Chicagoās range, the idea of recreating the OdunzeāBoston connection could become very tempting.
A Dream Waiting to Happen?
For now, Boston can only wait and see how the draft board falls.
But one thing is clear: if the opportunity arises, he would welcome the chance to continue his football journey alongside a player he considers both a mentor and a brother.

Because sometimes the best NFL partnerships begin long before draft night.
And in Bostonās case, that partnership might already be waiting in Chicago.
