The Las Vegas Raiders were hoping to get another quarterback option back soon.
But that return will have to wait.

Raiders QB Aidan O’Connell Ruled Out Again Despite Practicing Fully
The Las Vegas Raiders will continue to be without quarterback Aidan O’Connell, as the team has officially ruled him out for their upcoming matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

O’Connell is still recovering from a wrist injury and will remain on injured reserve for Week 11, even though he participated fully in practice throughout the week.
Why O’Connell Still Isn’t Returning

Although O’Connell looked healthy enough to practice, the Raiders have decided not to activate him yet.
The team opened his 21-day return window from injured reserve on October 29, which allows the quarterback to practice with the team while still technically remaining on IR.
However, if the Raiders do not activate him before that window expires, O’Connell will be forced to miss the entire 2025 season.
For now, the team appears to be taking a cautious approach with his recovery.
Raiders’ Quarterback Depth Chart

With O’Connell unavailable, the Raiders’ quarterback situation remains unchanged for their upcoming game.
- Geno Smith is expected to remain the starting quarterback
- Kenny Pickett will serve as the backup
This leaves Las Vegas without the depth O’Connell would normally provide in the quarterback room.
A Key Decision Approaching

The Raiders will soon face an important decision regarding O’Connell’s status.
If the team believes he is fully recovered, they will need to activate him from injured reserve before the 21-day practice window closes.

If they don’t, the young quarterback will be ineligible to play for the remainder of the season.
For now, the Raiders appear focused on preparing Smith and Pickett for the immediate future while they continue monitoring O’Connell’s recovery.
