ABC came out swinging in late night for the week of Nov. 16, as Jimmy Kimmel Live! roared back from a repeat-heavy week and Nightline delivered one of its biggest demo spikes of the fall off a massive Monday broadcast.
According to Nielsen Live+3 ratings data, Jimmy Kimmel Live! rebounded across both key measures after airing three repeats the prior week following the death of bandleader Cleto Escobedo III, climbing to a nightly average of 1.98 million total viewers (+10 percent) and 249,000 adults 18–49 (+12 percent).
Nightline, meanwhile, soared to 1.01 million viewers (+22 percent) and 146,000 in the demo (+46 percent), buoyed by a post–Monday Night Football telecast that led with coverage of the attempted-murder charges against ex-NFL star Antonio Brown and an interview with the Jonas Brothers.
The momentum extended across the 11:35 p.m. field, as all three shows posted demo gains. NBC’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon saw the biggest week-to-week increase, rising to 174,000 adults 18–49 (+23 percent) thanks in part to a special post–Sunday Night Football broadcast on Nov. 1. With the extra Sunday show, Tonight aired six episodes for the week, though both Thursday and Friday were repeats.
At CBS, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert held firm in total viewers, delivering 2.16 million across four originals and one repeat (flat week-to-week), while jumping 13 percent in adults 18–49 to 195,000.
The Daily Show dipped modestly to 726,000 total viewers (–6 percent) and 149,000 adults 18–49 (–18 percent) across four originals.

At 10:00 p.m., Fox News’ Gutfeld! averaged 2.72 million viewers (–2 percent) and 170,000 adults 18–49 (–10 percent) across five originals. Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live presented a full week of episodes taped at BravoCon under the banner BravoCon Live with Andy Cohen, drawing 304,000 total viewers (–4 percent) and 73,000 adults 18–49 (–13 percent).
