Selena Gomez has officially confirmed what Swifties suspected for years: Taylor Swift’s song “Dorothea” was written about her.

During a recent appearance on her husband Benny Blanco’s podcast, Friends Keep Secrets, the Only Murders in the Building star revealed that the track from Swift’s 2020 album Evermore was inspired by their long-lasting friendship.

“‘Dorothea’ is about me,” Gomez said during the conversation.

The singer and actress reflected on how their bond developed when they were both teenagers trying to navigate fame and life in the spotlight.

“We were figuring out huge moments in life — relationships, family, love, even hate,” Gomez explained. “I was 15 and she was 18. We didn’t really know what was going on, but we’ve never seen each other any differently.”
