Ironically, he still delivered some unforgettable moments, including two dramatic game-winning touchdown catches against the rival Green Bay Packers.

According to O’Sullivan, the deeper issue may have been visible on film long before the trade happened.

“When you have the ball in your hands, you’re a dynamic playmaker,” O’Sullivan said. “But when you don’t have the ball in your hands, you don’t play as fast.”

A Problem That Opponents Notice

What makes the issue more significant is that defenses study everything.

According to O’Sullivan, defensive coordinators quickly recognize when a receiver isn’t giving full effort on plays where they aren’t likely to receive the ball.

That knowledge can change how defenders react.

“If he’s not getting the ball immediately, he’s not necessarily going to run that hard,” O’Sullivan said. “We’re not worried about him running by us.”

“You have to keep playing,” O’Sullivan explained. “You can’t quit on routes.”

If Moore struggles with that aspect of the game, the dynamic between him and Allen could become complicated.

“Josh has the ability to extend and create,” O’Sullivan said. “And when he does that, you’ve got to feel the play and keep working downfield.”

A Trade That Now Looks Different

Rumors had already circulated about a potential disconnect between Moore and Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.

But with O’Sullivan’s analysis, the situation appears even more layered.
