During media sessions leading up to the Super Bowl, the former Ohio State standout confidently declared that the Buckeyes remain the undisputed “Wide Receiver U.” And according to Smith-Njigba, the program’s dominance is only getting stronger.

“It’s a long list, and it’s about to grow even more,” Smith-Njigba said. “I think it’s just too much elite talent from top to bottom.”

For years, college football fans have debated which program deserves the title of producing the best NFL receivers. Schools like LSU, Alabama, and Oklahoma have all made strong cases.

But Ohio State’s recent track record is becoming impossible to ignore.

The next name expected to enter the NFL spotlight is Carnell Tate, another Ohio State receiver who declared for the 2026 NFL Draft.
