Stephen Colbert seemed to take pleasure in President Donald Trump being mocked on the Season 27 premiere of South Park during a recent episode of his late-night talk show.
South Park pushed the envelope like the adult animation is known to do in their recent debut episode of the season, which included a satirical pro-Trump PSA. Humorously, the pro-Trump PSA featured an AI version of the POTUS traveling across the desert naked.

The talk show host referenced the faux PSA in his Late Show monologue on Thursday night after speaking on Trump signing a series of executive orders that targeted AI regulation.
“And I completely agree with this one,” Stephen said on the show. “Because if the government interfered with private AI, innovators at South Park wouldn’t be able to make important videos like this one.”
Of the South Park PSA, Stephen said that it was a âmessage of hope.” He added: “That is an important message of hope for our times, and you can check it out right here.”
â
Stephen then inserted the link, HeTrumpedUs.com. on screen, which went to a full PSA segment.
Stephen has been one of Trumpâs main critics since the hotelier hopped into politics. Given that he often uses his show to call out the Commander-in-Chief, itâs speculated that his continuous opposition to Trump on his show is why The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is getting canceled.
However, CBS announced last week that the decision to axe Stephenâs talk show was a “purely financial decision.”
â
Despite CBS trying to hush the rumors of them getting rid of Stephen to appease Trump, as the network was amid settling with the president over his multi-million dollar lawsuit over CBSâsâ 60 Minutes âex-Vice President Kamala Harris interview.
Many theorized that Paramount, CBSâs parent company, sacrificed Stephen because it needed the Trump administration to secure its merger with Skydance, which was approved Thursday.
Trump didnât mind Stephen getting the boot at all, and even admitted that he âloved itâ in a post on Truth Social.
âI absolutely love that Colbert got fired,” Trump penned. “His talent was even less than his ratings.â
Stephen clapped back at Trumpâs snideness with, “Go f— yourself.”
The late-night talk show host community has rallied together in support of Stephen amid news that his show would be ending in 2026, along with his many fans.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! host Jimmy Kimmel wrote on Instagram following the announcement, âLove you, Stephen. F— you and all your Sheldons CBS.”
Meanwhile, Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon penned, âI’m just as shocked as everyone. Stephen is one of the sharpest, funniest hosts to ever do it.”
He continued, “I really thought I’d ride this out with him for years to come. I’m sad that my family and friends will need a new show to watch every night at 11:30. But honestly, he’s really been a gentleman and a true friend over the years – going back to The Colbert Report, and I’m sure whatever he does next will be just as brilliant.”
