The Seattle Seahawks just locked in one of their most explosive playmakers from their Super Bowl run.

Seahawks Re-Sign Rashid Shaheed to $51M Deal After Super Bowl Run
The Seattle Seahawks are keeping one of their key offensive weapons.
Seattle has re-signed wide receiver and return specialist Rashid Shaheed to a three-year contract worth $51 million, according to NFL Network insiders.
The move ensures the Seahawks retain a dynamic playmaker who played a major role during their Super Bowl LX championship season.

Midseason Addition Became Key Piece
Shaheed originally joined Seattle during the 2025 season via a midseason trade from the New Orleans Saints.
While his regular-season numbers with Seattle were modest, his impact went beyond the stat sheet.
In nine regular-season games with the Seahawks, Shaheed recorded:
- 15 receptions
- 188 receiving yards
However, his deep-threat speed forced defenses to respect the vertical passing game, which helped open opportunities for other players — especially Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who went on to break franchise receiving records.

Big Plays in the Playoffs
Shaheed also delivered some clutch moments during Seattle’s playoff run.
One of his biggest plays came in the NFC Championship Game, where he caught a 51-yard pass early in the game against the Los Angeles Rams.
The play helped set the tone in Seattle’s victory and eventual path to a Super Bowl title.

Special Teams Game-Changer
Beyond his receiving role, Shaheed made a massive impact as the Seahawks’ primary kick returner.
He returned kickoffs for touchdowns both during the regular season and the playoffs, earning his second Pro Bowl selection as a return specialist in 2025.
His ability to flip field position instantly made him one of the league’s most dangerous returners.

Seahawks Keep Offensive Core Intact
The new deal comes at an important time for Seattle.
The team recently lost Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker III in free agency, making it even more important to retain other key contributors.

Shaheed now joins an explosive Seahawks offense that includes:
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba
- Cooper Kupp
- Tory Horton
With a full offseason in Seattle’s system, the Seahawks believe Shaheed could become an even bigger part of the offense in 2026 and beyond.
