Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett is facing a $3,000 lien on a luxury Dallas condo.
Crockett, a rumored Senate candidate, has an unpaid lien of $3,047.79 against her unit in the Westside Condominiums, as Fox News Digital reported.
The Dallas Express also obtained the lien notice, which says she “continues to fail and refuse” to pay fees to the Westside Condominium Association. The document, from April 11, 2024, describes her as the unit’s “owner.”
“Jasmine F. Crockett is in default in her obligation for payment of assessments and has failed and refused and continues to fail and refuse, despite demand on her, to pay to the Association assessments and other charges properly levied against the property,” the notice reads.
So the condo association placed a “lien against the property” for $3,047.79, according to the notice. This gives the association a legal claim on the unit, allowing it to collect the money by foreclosure if necessary.
The Dallas County Clerk’s Office confirmed the lien had not yet been released as of December 2, according to Fox News, suggesting Crockett has not yet paid the charge.
Crockett first bought the condo in May 2014, according to county records, Fox News reported. The Dallas Express also obtained records showing Crockett took out a 30-year mortgage from Wells Fargo for $134,910 to pay for the property.
The Westside Condominiums sit off Cedar Springs Road and Raleigh Street, across the Dallas North Tollway from the Perry Heights neighborhood.
“These modern condos feature hardwood floors, granite counters and some have garages and soaring ceilings,” reads a description on HighRises.com. “Building amenities include a pool and fitness center.”
The three-story complex includes a dog park, and the units offer “terraces,” per the website. According to Homes.com, the condos are in a “gated community,” and the HOA fees range from $222 to $403.

Crockett failed to disclose more than $110,000 in debt in her congressional disclosure, as The Dallas Express reported.
She also failed to disclose ownership in at least 25 companies, including pharmaceutical, fossil fuel, and marijuana businesses.
Crockett also spent nearly $75,000 in donor money on luxury hotels, transportation, and security this year, according to Fox News.
This spring, Crockett smeared Republican Gov. Greg Abbott – who sits in a wheelchair – as “governor hot wheels,” as The Dallas Express reported.
The South Dallas congresswoman, who first took office in 2023, is rumored to be considering a bid for Senate.
