Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald was left in disbelief when their Super Bowl triumph was officially confirmed last weekend.

Macdonald’s team cruised to a 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots at Super Bowl LX, delivering the franchise’s first championship since 2014.
It proved a one-sided affair in Santa Clara as the Patriots failed to cause the Seahawks any major problems on the night, with a late pick six from quarterback Drake Maye proving the final nail in the coffin.

Though despite how comfortable they were on the night, Macdonald still didn’t get carried away until the victory and Super Bowl was officially theirs.
In a heartwarming video released by the NFL, the Seattle coach is seen saying on the sidelines as the win is secured: ‘Oh my god! We tackled ’em. We won, it’s over.’

He then repeatedly told his fellow coaches: ‘We just won the Super Bowl.’
Seahawks players then followed the usual NFL tradition by covering Macdonald in Gatorade to celebrate their victory at Levi’s Stadium.

It marked the 38-year-old’s first championship as head coach just two seasons into his stint with Seattle, having previously worked in a number of roles for the Baltimore Ravens.

Running back sensation Kenneth Walker III was named Super Bowl MVP after a breathtaking performance which saw him register 27 carries for 135 yards for Macdonald’s team, while quarterback Sam Darnold threw for 202 yards and a touchdown.

Another hero on the night for Seattle was kicker Jason Myers, who successfully converted five field goals and an extra point against the Patriots.
