
WNBAĀ starĀ Kelsey PlumĀ has revealed the truth about her ethnicity, and itās probably not what you think.
Lots of fans assume the Las Vegas Aces point guard is Puerto Rican, and she can certainly pass for one. Sheās even been branded the āPuerto Rican Princess,ā but she isnāt actually Puerto Rican.
Plum, 29, hails from Poway, California, and is Irish. She revealed the latter in a WNBA video this weekend.
āIām not Puerto Rican,ā she said. āIām so sorry to let people down. Iām just white; Iām Irish, actually. Iām a proud Irish woman but I feel like Iām an ally to all communities but now in particular because I feel like Iāve been endeared by the community.
āI know weāre playing Puerto Rico in South Carolina, it feels a great fit. Iāve been called a Boriqua.
