Cardi B Parties Hours After Patriots Release Stefon Diggs
Cardi B appeared unfazed by the news that the New England Patriots were releasing wide receiver Stefon Diggs, celebrating late into the night after a concert performance in Houston.
The Grammy-winning rapper had just finished a stop on her “Little Miss Drama Tour” on March 4 when the Patriots informed Diggs he would be released once the new NFL league year begins.
Wild Night in Houston
After performing in Houston — a show that included a surprise appearance from Megan Thee Stallion — Cardi B continued the celebration at a nightclub called Sekai.
Videos shared on social media showed the rapper:
Dancing and singing with fans
Partying at the concert after-party
Posting energetic updates on Instagram
In a late-night video message recorded from a car, Cardi appeared slightly intoxicated while speaking to fans about her upcoming show in Austin, Texas.
She joked that the Houston celebration might make it difficult to perform the next night.
“Put me in the bus… put me in the motherf*in’ bus, driver,” she said in the video.
Diggs’ Release Adds More Drama
The timing of the celebration caught attention because the Patriots had just informed Stefon Diggs that he would be released.
New England made the decision largely for financial reasons, avoiding a $6 million roster bonus that would have become guaranteed.
Despite being cut, Diggs had a productive season with the Patriots:
85 receptions
1,013 receiving yards
4 touchdowns
He led the team in receiving yards during their Super Bowl run, though New England ultimately lost 29-13 to the Seattle Seahawks.
Breakup Happened Before the Super Bowl
Diggs’ release also comes shortly after his breakup with Cardi B.
Sources say the two split just days before the Super Bowl, ending a relationship that began in 2024.
The couple also shares a son born in November 2025.
According to insiders, their relationship had been on-and-off, with the breakup reportedly tied to repeated trust issues.
Diggs Responds to Patriots Move
Shortly after learning he would be released, Diggs posted a message thanking the Patriots organization.
“THANK YOU for a hell of a year. We family forever @patriots … Until we meet again.”
Now a 32-year-old free agent, Diggs will likely draw interest from teams looking for an experienced receiver heading into the 2026 NFL season.
