The Jonas Brothers are total “suckers” for their kids.

The former pop-rock band members have all grown up, pursued solo careers and embraced being dads along the way. Kevin Jonas, the eldest of the siblings, shares daughters Alena and Valentina with his wife Danielle Jonas, whom he married in December 2009.

Middle brother Joe Jonas and Game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner welcomed daughters, Willa and Delphine, before they ended their four-year marriage in September 2023.

Nick Jonas and wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas welcomed their first child together, Malti Marie, via surrogate in January 2022.

Even with a busy touring schedule, the trio — who also have a younger brother Frankie Jonas — make it a habit of “being present in all the moments” with their families. That includes honoring their daughters onstage.

The Jonas Brothers on telling their kids “alternate truths”

During a July 2025 episode of Mythical Kitchen‘s “Last Meals” video series, Kevin, Joe and Nick got candid about parenting — and the little white lies that sometimes come with it.

“I try not to lie to them at all,” Nick said, before Kevin quickly jumped in with: “I lied a lot.”

Nick explained that while he aims for honesty, there are moments that require what he calls “an alternate truth.”

“Because, you know, it’s not a big enough thing to have the house crumble, but just little, like bribing a 3½ year old to get off the iPad is a thing. It takes a lot of focus and self-belief,” Nick said.

Joe, meanwhile, echoed Nick’s approach.

“I try not to,” he said of lying. “I mean, they’re not watching this, but you know, there’s a few characters that we all get presents from that they may think exist. That would be a healthy fib, I think.”

Kevin Jonas on his oldest daughter enjoying the rock-star perks

After years of being unfazed by her dad’s rock-star life, Kevin said his oldest, Alena, is finally beginning to cash in on her VIP privileges.

“Clout is starting to happen with my older one,” Kevin told PEOPLE in March 2025. “She’s like, ‘Dad, can I get a box for the show on the 10th?’ “

Joe chimed in that he’s seen her excitement firsthand: “I saw her yesterday showing her friends on FaceTime stuff that she shouldn’t be showing them yet.”

Kevin continued, “She’s like, ‘Dad, can I get my own box [to] invite my friends to the show on the 10th?’ I was like, ‘I’ll see what I can do for you, babe,’ So yeah, we’re at that point. But it’s exciting. I love it.”

He added, “I’m proud to be their dad, No. 1, but the fact that they’re proud of me — and us — it’s great.”

Nick Jonas on balancing fatherhood and fame

Nick might live a hectic and flashy life in the spotlight, but with daughter Malti, he gets to be “Dad.”

“The best part about being a dad for me and balancing things like this work stuff — and this is hardly work — is that you could feel like your coolest self on top of the world, and she just doesn’t care at all,” The Last Five Years Broadway star told PEOPLE in March 2025.

“She wants to play Moana and Maui with me, and that means more to me than anything else, is that time with her. And just the fact that I’m just Dad when I’m home, it means a lot.”

Nick and Priyanka’s baby girl spent 100-plus days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

During an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show in May 2022, Nick discussed the “wild” journey he and his wife have endured since their daughter’s birth.

“It’s pretty wild. She’s the best,” Nick told host Kelly Clarkson. “It’s just been a magical season of our life. But it’s a blessing to have her home. It’s been wonderful.”

The couple also opened up on Mother’s Day 2022 about the experience of bringing their daughter home and shared the first photo of Malti in coordinated posts on Instagram.

In the aftermath of the Uvalde school shooting in May 2022, Nick explained how the tragic event hit even harder since becoming a father.

“The weight of everything is much more intense,” he told Variety. “I think it’s now about trying to be as present as possible and as thoughtful as you can be for your family, but also for other people’s journeys.”
