Tokyo was plunged into an unimaginable nightmare this morning. Just 50 minutes ago, Japanese media reported that the Gulfstream private jet carrying Elon Musk had crashed straight into Tokyo Bay after the engine suddenly exploded in mid-air. The explosion was deafening, the fire lit up the sky and turned the plane into a fireball that fell freely into the water, in front of the horrified eyes of thousands of people living along the bay.

Witnesses living in the Odaiba area described: “I heard an explosion like a bomb and then saw a red streak of fire falling into the sea. Screams echoed across the bay, water shot up like a small tsunami.” Paparazzi and tourists captured the terrifying moments: black smoke billowing, burning debris scattered across the water.

The Japanese rescue team immediately deployed rescue ships and helicopters. Images broadcast on NHK television stunned the world: rubber boats rushed into the smoky water, divers searched deep in vain. After several minutes, body parts and cockpit debris were recovered. The Coast Guard confirmed: “There are no survivors.”
In the panic, a double incident occurred: a rescue helicopter also had an accident due to smoke inhalation from the explosion, forcing an emergency landing on the water. Fortunately, the entire crew was saved, but fear enveloped the entire area.
Elon Musk’s body was taken to Tokyo Military Hospital under absolute security blockade. Doctors could only confirm immediate death, due to total body trauma and smoke inhalation. The news was broadcast, the whole world exploded: Twitter was flooded with hashtags #PrayForMusk and #TokyoTragedy, CNN called it “The darkest day in the private aviation industry.”
The Japanese people were shocked. Thousands of fans gathered along the shore of Tokyo Bay, lit white candles, and dropped chrysanthemums into the sea. In the sky, Japanese and American flags were lowered to half mast. In Los Angeles, Tesla fans erected electronic signs lit up in memory. In Berlin, hundreds of SpaceX engineers burst into tears right in the factory.
Musk’s family was completely devastated. His mother, Maye Musk, choked up: “I lost my son, the world lost a guiding star.” The Japanese Prime Minister spoke up: “Tokyo will remember this tragic morning forever.” The US President called it a “global tragedy.”
The climax of the tragedy reached its climax when night fell: Tokyo Bay was lit up by a sea of candles and hundreds of fishing boats hung with white lights in memory. Temple bells echoed throughout the area, mixed with the sobs of international fans. Elon Musk, an icon of technology and space, passed away in an air tragedy right in the heart of Japan.
Tomorrow, Tokyo is scheduled to hold an international memorial service at the national stadium, where hundreds of thousands of people are expected to come to pray. But tonight, the whole world is immersed in tears and darkness.
