Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown certainly knows how to start up a firestorm for the media to run with.
Ever since he posted his cryptic message on X, which went viral after the Eagles’ 31-25 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, everyone has been talking about and speculating on what is going on behind the scenes in Philly. It was sparked by his two-catch, seven-yard performance against the Bucs, where he was targeted nine times.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was the first from the organization to speak out on the post and A.J. Brown on Monday. While Sirianni did not provide specifics on their conversation together, the fifth-year head coach has assured that he believes Brown wants to be an Eagle.
Now it’s Kevin Patullo’s turn to face the media regarding Brown
Patullo had his time in the spotlight on Tuesday as he, too, had to answer questions on Brown. When explicitly asked about their relationship, Patullo was complimentary of Brown.
“AJ and I have a great relationship throughout the years. We spend a lot of time together. Great communication. We’ve had no problems. I know where his heart is, he wants to do anything to help us. As far as I’m concerned, we’re in a good spot.”
It has been a rough season for not only Brown but also Patullo. Brown had his 109-yard game against the Los Angeles Rams, but has a combined eight receptions for 42 yards in the other three games. Despite being seventh in the NFL in scoring with 27 points per game, Patullo’s offense is ranked 30th in the league in total offense, averaging 251.5 yards per game.

If the Eagles believe this is the end of the Brown saga, they are sadly mistaken. Every week seems to start with something else popping up, and it will continue unless Patullo can get the offense rolling and Brown starts producing.
