Caitlin Clark’s announcement that she will miss the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season was a tough one for Fever fans to bear, but teammate Aliyah Boston has got her back.
In a clip for today’s episode of Boston’s “Post Moves” podcast with Candace Parker, Boston makes it clear she fully supports Clark.
“That’s our girl. You know, that’s our girl,” Boston said. “And I feel like no matter what happened, you have to protect you, and you have to protect your career. There’s no reason to force anything. And I feel like her just kind of having that approach of doing what’s best for her is all we can ask for.”
“I had hoped to share a better update, but I will not be returning to play this season. I spent hours in the gym every day with the singular goal of getting back out there, disappointed isn’t a big enough word to describe how I am feeling,” Clark wrote via social media earlier this month.

“I want to thank everyone who had my back through all the uncertainty. This has been incredibly frustrating, but even in the bad, there is good. The way the fans continued to show up for me, and for the Fever, brought me so much joy and important perspective. I am so proud of how this team has only gotten stronger through adversity this year. Now it’s time to close out the season and claim our spot in the Playoffs🖤.”
The Fever have since secured the No. 6 seeding in this year’s playoffs. The official schedule and play order has not yet been determined.
