Reid is joint third most successful NFL coach ever
This win was Reid’s 200th game in charge of the Chiefs.
It was also his 145th victory with Kansas City and his 303rd overall.
To commemorate the milestone, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt presented Reid with the game ball.
Reid’s record is so impressive, defensive star Chris Jones was caught saying, “Out of 200 games, he won 145. Damn, Coach Reid.”
The 67-year-old is one of the most successful NFL coaches of all time.
He has reached the Super Bowl six times as head coach, five with the Chiefs and one with the Philadelphia Eagles.
He has won the Lombardi Trophy three times, the joint third most ever.
This is also two more than any other active coach.
He was also an assistant coach at the Green Bay Packers in the 1997 season when they won Super Bowl XXXI.
After graduating from BYU in 1981, Reid spent ten years as an assistant coach in college football before joining the Packers.
He was the assistant offensive line & tight ends coach and remained with them for eight seasons.
He then moved from Wisconsin to Philadelphia, where he was the head coach for 14 years.
He joined Kansas City in 2013 and has helped build one of the best NFL dynasties of all time, led by Patrick Mahomes.
Together, they won their first Super Bowl in 2019 before back-to-back championships in 2022 and 2023.
They also reached two other finals in those six years.
Their 2025 season, however, did not start as planned.
The Chiefs slipped to their first 0-2 record of the Mahomes era, but have since beaten the Giants and the Ravens to get their season back on track.
On Sunday, Mahomes threw for 270 yards and four touchdowns to guide his side to their second victory of the year.
Having been injured by his own teammate, Travis Kelce, Xavier Worthy returned with over 100 combined rushing and receiving yards.
Kansas City travel to Jacksonville for an MNF game next week before a challenging fixture against the Lions a week later.
