The Los Angeles Sparks decided to shake things up this offseason with the addition of former Las Vegas Aces star guard Kelsey Plum, who came over as part of a three-way deal between the Sparks, Aces and Seattle Storm.
Plum averaged 17.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists for the Aces last season as she averaged double digit points for the fourth consecutive season.

On Monday, Plum prepared to make her debut for the Sparks franchise, turning heads with a unique pregame ritual that many fans had never seen before.

“Kelsey Plum just moments before her preseason debut,” the Sparks’ X account wrote with an exhaling-from-the-nose emoji.
The video showed Plum bumping up against the a basket’s stanchion before performing a few quick leaps and shaking off the rust ahead of Tuesday night’s tip-off.

“What she doin tho,” one fan wrote.
The Sparks finished with the worst record in the WNBA last season at 8-32, going into the tank after losing their promising rookie Cameron Brink for the season due to a torn ACL in her left knee.

The Sparks jumped out to an early lead on the WNBA’s newest franchise, the Golden State Valkyries, on Tuesday night as they outscored Golden State 16-13 in the first quarter.
The Sparks continued their lead toward the eight-minute mark in the first half as they continued to press onward against their new Western Conference rivals and in-state counterparts, with Plum working to find her rhythm both both and during the game.
