Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly working on a plan to reconcile with the royal family, dubbed “Project Thaw.” According to Daily Mail editor Richard Eden, the couple is taking steps to rebuild relationships with their estranged family members and the British public. Meghan’s appearance at Paris Fashion Week earlier in October is seen as part of this strategy, as she mingled with the European fashion elite, including Vogue’s Anna Wintour. Eden believes the event was part of the “Establishment plot” to warm up the royal couple’s image.

The couple’s efforts also appear to be building on the success of Harry’s recent trip to the UK, where he carried out charity engagements and, notably, was invited to Clarence House for tea with King Charles. Harry’s visit to the UK after 19 months, which was seen as a positive step in their reconciliation process, is believed to be a precursor to Meghan’s upcoming visit to Britain before the end of the year.

The couple, who stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and have since voiced their grievances against the family, are hoping to reunite in public. Harry has expressed a desire to bring Meghan and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, back to the UK, but he has been clear that he won’t do so without proper security. This issue has complicated their relationship with the royal family, especially after they lost access to police protection during visits to the UK earlier this year.

Despite the ongoing tensions, sources claim that Meghan’s planned return to the UK will be a significant step in their efforts to repair their ties with the royal family.

The couple’s next move in “Project Thaw” will likely be a joint appearance before the end of the year, with Meghan expected to “bear humble pie” in an attempt to mend fences.
