U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has issued a direct order to federal law enforcement to intensify scrutiny of the anti-fascist movement known as Antifa and other organizations she categorized as “extremist groups.”
In an internal memo circulated to prosecutors and federal agencies on Thursday, Bondi directed the FBI to compile a target list of entities that may be participating in acts of domestic terrorism. The directive signals a significant shift in Justice Department priorities, explicitly instructing the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Forces to place these investigations at the top of their agenda.

The scope of the crackdown extends beyond alleged physical violence. The memo specifically instructs investigators to pursue potential financial offenses, calling for a probe into “tax crimes” to determine if these groups have defrauded the Internal Revenue Service.
Bondi’s memo outlines a specific ideological profile for the targets of this initiative. She wrote that these “domestic terrorists” utilize violence or threats to push political agendas, citing “opposition to law and immigration enforcement,” as well as “extreme views in favor of mass migration and open borders.”
The Attorney General further characterized the groups as adhering to “radical gender ideology, anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, or anti-Christianity.”

To support the initiative, Bondi ordered all federal law enforcement agencies to immediately review their archives. Agencies have been told to “scour their files” for any existing intelligence regarding Antifa groups and hand that information over to investigators.
