Princess Anne is set for an important overseas trip next month with her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, as Buckingham Palace has confirmed their upcoming tour of Australia and Singapore. The four-day visit, which will take place from November 8 to 13, is particularly significant as it will commemorate the centenary of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals, an organization of which Princess Anne serves as Colonel-in-Chief.

During the visit to Australia, Princess Anne will be attending various military engagements in major cities including Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. Given that her trip will overlap with Remembrance Day, she will lay a wreath at the Anzac Memorial, fulfilling her role as President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
The final leg of the tour will take place in Singapore, where Princess Anne and Sir Timothy will engage in several high-profile meetings, including with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. The couple will also visit the Kranji War Memorial and key sites such as the Airbus Asia Training Centre and Rolls-Royce’s Seletar campus. This visit marks 60 years of diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and Singapore.

At 75, Princess Anne remains one of the hardest-working members of the royal family, known for her tireless overseas engagements. Her extensive history with both Australia and Singapore spans multiple visits, with her most recent trip to Australia occurring in 2022, while her last visit to Singapore was in 2016.
This trip follows a recent invitation to other members of the royal family to visit Australia. Last month, King Charles and Queen Camilla met with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at Balmoral Castle, where they discussed both the evolving monarchy-Australia relationship and global environmental challenges. After the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed that the royal family would always be welcomed in Australia, and added that he hoped to see the Prince and Princess of Wales visit in the future.

Although the invitation for William and Kate’s visit remains, Buckingham Palace has not yet announced any official plans for the Prince and Princess of Wales to travel to Australia. For now, Princess Anne’s forthcoming tour will be a key diplomatic and commemorative event, underscoring her commitment to royal duties on the global stage.
