WNBA star Caitlin Clark solidified her status as one of the faces of the league despite playing only 13 games due to injury in 2025. Clark’s influence on and off the court was so well-known that it became a trend for players around the league to jokingly request her help at any minor inconvenience.
Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham ended up in a similar spot during an interview with Page Six this week. While discussing celebrities she wants to see attend Fever games, Cunningham revealed that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his fiancee, Taylor Swift, were supposed to attend a Fever game in 2025, but did not end up coming.

Cunningham wants to see the billionaire power couple at a WNBA game. She called on Clark, who has ties to both Swift and Kelce, as the influencer who could step in and make it happen.
“You’re asking the wrong girl,” Cunningham told the interviewer. “You’ve got to get Caitlin out here asking those questions because we would love to have (Kelce and Swift) at a Fever game.”
It is not far-fetched to think Clark could talk them into it next season. She appeared as a guest on Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast in January, which resulted in an invite to one of Kansas City’s playoff games during the 2024 NFL season. The three-time Super Bowl champion has continued to support Clark, wearing merchandise featuring her signature logo in an episode last month.
Joining Swift in Kelce’s suite at Arrowhead Stadium was a dream come true for Clark, who shared on “New Heights” that she grew up in Iowa as a Chiefs fan and attended games every year with her cousins. She is also a Swiftie, having attended multiple shows during Swift’s record-breaking “Eras Tour.”
Clark concluded her exit interview with the Fever this season by urging people to listen to Swift’s new album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” Ten days later, she was back in the suite at Arrowhead watching another game alongside Swift when Kansas City took on the Detroit Lions on Oct. 12.
Considering the relationship the Fever star has with Swift and Kelce, a little nudge could go a long way in making sure that they finally make it to a basketball game in Indianapolis. That will have to wait until 2026, but fans could see more of the headline-grabbing stars together at a game soon.
The Chiefs are on the road against the Denver Broncos this Sunday, but Kansas City’s next game — a home matchup against the Fever’s local NFL team, the Indianapolis Colts — presents an enticing opportunity for Clark to return to Arrowhead Stadium.
