Crown Prince Leka of Albania, 43, has announced his engagement to Blerta Celibashi, sharing the joyful news on his official Instagram on October 12, 2025. The couple, who made their relationship public in September 2024, got engaged six months after Leka’s divorce from his first wife, Crown Princess Elia, was finalized in April 2024.
This will be Leka’s second marriage. He is the head of the Albanian royal family and a father to Princess Geraldine, 4, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Elia. The engagement took place in Ksamil, Albania, on October 11, 2025, and was celebrated in the presence of close family and friends. The Albanian Royal Court shared the news with a statement, expressing their happiness and gratitude for the warm wishes from the public.
On October 13, Blerta posted a behind-the-scenes video on her Instagram, offering fans a glimpse into the intimate moments leading up to the engagement announcement. Set to the song “So This Is Love” by Sneha featuring ConTejas, the video shows Blerta getting glammed up for the photo shoot, applying her mascara herself, and later posing in a stunning champagne gown with statement earrings. The video also featured Leka and Blerta together, as well as a heartwarming shot with Leka’s daughter, Princess Geraldine.
Blerta also shared three photos of the couple on her Instagram, including a close-up of her sparkling engagement ring.
“There was love in the air, and peace in my heart 💚,” she captioned the photos, further sharing the excitement and love surrounding their engagement.
