President Donald Trump on Thursday doubled down on his attacks against Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), stating that she has a “low IQ.”
When queried about Crockett by a reporter during a White House press conference, Trump cut the journalist off before they could even finish their question about the congresswoman.
“Remember what I said?” Trump asked, seemingly reviving his previous insults toward Crockett. “Is she in relation to the late, great Davy Crockett? I don’t think so.”
“She’s a very low-IQ person,” he said before adding that the Texas Democrat should be required to take an “aptitude test,” as he claimed she isn’t qualified to hold office.
He continued, saying that “he can’t believe” Crockett is in politics, and drew a similar comparison to Rep. Ilhan Omar.

“I met the head of Somalia. Did you know that?” Trump asked the reporter.
“I suggested maybe he’d like to take her back,” he continued, apparently referring to Omar, “and he didn’t want her. He said, ‘I don’t want her.’”
During the same interview, Trump also blamed Crockett and the Democratic Party for what was described as an “uptick in left-wing violence.”
“Radical left rhetoric. The radical left is causing the problem,” he said. “They’re saying things, and they’re really dumb people. I mean, I look at [Texas Rep. Jasmine] Crockett, I look at some of these people. They’re very low-IQ people, actually. But the radical left is causing this problem.”
Trump’s criticism of Crockett’s intelligence dates back to August, shortly after which the Texas lawmaker responded by calling it “a common insult when it comes to people of color.”
She continued, “This is a person that has a problem with people of color, period. I don’t care how many Black MAGA out there with they hats.”
