Sarah Ashlee Barker is a professional basketball player from the United States, currently playing for the Los Angeles Sparks in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). She played collegiate basketball for the Georgia Lady Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide, both members of the Southeastern Conference. In the 2025 WNBA draft, she was chosen ninth overall by the Sparks.
Born on September 10, 2001, in Birmingham, Alabama, Sarah Ashlee Barker began her basketball journey at a young age. She played for Spain Park High School located in Hoover, Alabama. Her accolades include being named the 2020 Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year, the 2020 Alabama Sports Writers Association Miss Basketball, and a two-time ASWA Class 7A State Player of the Year. Throughout her high school career, she averaged 23.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 1.9 steals, surpassing 2,000 points in total.

On October 8, 2018, she enrolled at Georgia College and began competing with the local basketball team. During her freshman year, Barker participated in 24 games, averaging 5.1 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. She achieved career highs against App State, recording 12 points, 5 assists, and 5 steals. Barker earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman team. In her sophomore year, she started every game and scored 14 points in a victory over Notre Dame. At the conclusion of the season, she made the decision to transfer to Alabama.

Sarah Ashlee Barker enrolled at Alabama College during the period of 2022 to 2025. As a senior, she participated in 33 games and achieved over 1,000 career points on February 18. On January 28, she recorded a personal best of 34 points against Kentucky. Barker earned a spot on the first-team All-SEC. Throughout her senior year, she led Alabama with an average of 17.2 points per game and 2.0 steals per game. She matched her career-high of eight assists in games against Georgia, Mississippi State, and Green Bay. Additionally, she was recognized as a top 10 finalist for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award. In a double-overtime defeat to Maryland during the 2025 NCAA women’s basketball tournament, Barker set a program record by scoring 45 points.

On April 14, 2025, Sarah Ashlee Barker was chosen ninth overall by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2025 WNBA draft.
