House Hearing Erupts Over Debunked Claim in Charlie Kirk Assassination

A House Oversight Committee hearing became a flashpoint of political contention as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) challenged Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s (D-TX) claim regarding the political motivations of Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old accused of assassinating Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
The exchange began when Crockett, referencing a Yahoo News article, attempted to link Robinson to the “MAGA” movement, based on a statement from his grandmother that their family is “all MAGA.”
“Since I wasn’t allowed equal time to debate, I have a receipt,” Crockett stated, “It is from, it looks like Yahoo News, it says ‘Charlie Kirk’s suspect grandma says family is all MAGA.'”
Rep. Greene swiftly countered the assertion, presenting a starkly different picture of the suspect. “I can assure you that the man, the 22-year-old man, Tyler Robinson, who murdered Charlie Kirk, is not MAGA,” Greene said. “His family may be Republican, but all of the evidence that is being presented proves that he is a far-leftist and very much integrated in online groups that are linked to Antifa.”

Greene went on to detail the reported facts of the case, highlighting Robinson’s documented embrace of left-wing ideology
