A walk-off home run in just his second game instantly energized fans and created buzz around one of the team’s biggest additions. For a franchise looking to make noise, it felt like the perfect start.
But for followers of the Chicago White Sox, the reaction is a bit more measured.
They’ve seen this story unfold before.
There’s no denying Robert’s talent. His combination of power, speed, and defensive ability has always placed him among the most gifted players on the field. Seasons like his 2023 campaign—highlighted by 38 home runs and 20 stolen bases—show exactly what he’s capable of when everything clicks.
The problem has never been potential.
It’s been consistency—and availability.
