When Dominique Malonga was announced as the final Unrivaled player for the league’s second season, it promised many thrilling moments between Malonga and Los Angeles Sparks star Cameron Brink. The latter missed most of the season to rehab the ACL tear she suffered in her rookie season, but fans still got a first taste of the Brink-Malonga matchup when the Sparks and Storm met after Brink’s return.
Their height, length, and versatility make Brink and Malonga unique young talents and they promise to be two of the best bigs in the game soon enough. They have been compared to Lisa Leslie and Lauren Jackson.
Fans won’t get to see the two face off in Unrivaled, which would’ve put their unique talents on full display with its spacing and speed, because they are on the same team. Having a team full of young stars and fan favorites quickly made up for missing out on the Malonga-Brink matchup, though.
Breeze BC’s roster promises to be a lot of fun

Malonga and Brink aren’t the only young stars on Breeze BC. They will be playing with Paige Bueckers, Kate Martin, Rickea Jackson, and Aari McDonald.
Bueckers is one of the most popular players in the world and, after a sensational rookie season in the WNBA, she seems ready to take over Unrivaled as well. Rickea Jackson already played well in Unrivaled’s first season, averaging 13.6 points and 3.9 rebounds. She was the second-leading scorer for the Mist, trailing only Breanna Stewart.
Kate Martin may not have the same star-level talent that Bueckers and Jackson have, but she endears herself to fans wherever she goes and she played well in her first Unrivaled season. Martin scored ten or more points in three of the six games she played, including one double-double with 10 rebounds, and averaged 1.2 steals per game.
Aari McDonald rounds out the roster as the Breeze’s “veteran”. She showcased her talent when she joined the Indiana Fever on a hardship contract during the 2025 WNBA season and won over a large part of the fan base along the way. Her speed, defense, and playmaking will be a fun addition to the Breeze’s group of young talent.

Breeze BC promises to be the most fun Unrivaled club to watch this upcoming season and the duo of Malonga and Brink is one reason for that. The team will be able to play a unique style with one of Malonga or Brink on the court at all times. Or, if Noelle Quinn is feeling bold, she could even play the two of them together with a guard, creating a complete matchup nightmare for opposing teams.
