Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) is hardly surprised at the lengths President Donald Trump will go in order to keep his lies “consistent.”
This time it’s regarding a message that The Wall Street Journal reported Trump wrote in a “birthday book” given to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in 2003. The House Oversight Committee obtained the book and released images of the note Monday, while the White House continued to say the president had nothing to do with the message.
In an interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, Crockett, who is no stranger to holding Trump accountable, shared her thoughts on the denials coming from the White House.
“Here’s the deal. We have a president that is sitting in office that obviously had a very close relationship with arguably one of the worst pedophiles that we have ever seen in this country,” Crockett said.
She proceeded to call out Trump for denying he personally knew Epstein, who died in 2019, and for saying he had nothing to do with the birthday note. The congresswoman also criticized Trump’s lack of “credibility,” especially in light of the White House’s refusal to confirm these potentially incriminating documents existed.

Politics: Supreme Court To Weigh In On Trump’s Tariff War
“As American people, we should all be in unison, no matter if you’re a Democrat, Republican or independent, when it comes down to cracking down on something like this,” she stated. “And this literally is so big. As someone who practiced criminal law in Texas, in Arkansas, and in federal courts — I have never seen a case this big, and I [practiced law] for literally over 15 years.”
Collins then asked Crockett about the authenticity of the signature in the book and what she thinks of the denials from the White House. Crockett didn’t hold back, calling the president a “liar” and commenting on his commitment to spread misinformation.
“He’s consistent,” Crockett said. “Here’s the thing, we got this from the Epstein estate. This isn’t something that came from a random Democratic something. This came from the estate.”
The Democratic lawmaker emphasized the document’s authenticity — arguing that if it were fabricated, the forger would have needed incredible “foresight” to produce such a detailed record so many years before Trump was president. She maintained that the “biggest issue” is Trump’s inability to be “honest” about his dealings with Epstein.
The two then reviewed the signature — with Crockett weighing in on its appearance.
“Who else signs like that?” she asked. “It is a signature of signatures. I mean, that is his signature, end of story. I don’t think that it is worth time trying to get somebody to come in who’s an expert and goes through the curves and that kind of stuff. We have experts that can do that if [Trump] really wants to, but I don’t think that it takes an expert to know that that is his signature.”
