Jenna Bush Hager isn’t holding back about the recent Instagram drama involving Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner.
During a Nov. 12 taping of TODAY With Jenna & Friends, the 43-year-old talk show host called out the reality stars for quietly deleting photos featuring Meghan from Kris’ 70th birthday celebration.
The deleted snaps originally showed Meghan, 44, posing alongside the Kardashian-Jenner family, but disappeared shortly after being posted on Instagram.
“What’s so strange is people knew they were there,” Bush Hager noted.

Entertainment reporter Rachel Smith suggested the move may have been prompted by Meghan and Prince Harry themselves. “At first, folks were saying online that maybe it was because Meghan wasn’t rocking the poppy like Prince Harry,” Smith explained. The poppy is a symbol in the U.K. used to honor members of the armed forces who have died. “Remembrance Day is in the U.K. going on right now… you can see that he’s wearing a poppy. Maybe it was taken down because she wasn’t wearing one.”
Guest co-host Leslie Bibb chimed in, calling the controversy “so trivial,” while Bush Hager admitted she personally has never requested that a friend take down a photo or sought approval for posts. “I don’t care enough,” she shrugged.
Despite the alleged social media drama, insiders say Meghan and Harry, 41, were all smiles at the event. “Meghan was glowing in a black wrap-style dress that showed off one leg. She looked very glamorous and fit the theme perfectly. Harry looked sharp in a tuxedo with a poppy for Remembrance Day,” a source revealed to Page Six.
Speculation continues about why the photos were removed. DeuxMoi insiders suggest it may have been related to Meghan not wearing the traditional red Remembrance poppy, a meaningful symbol in the U.K. during November. Meanwhile, Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop reports that Meghan and Harry personally requested the removal of “unapproved” photos, insisting that nothing goes online without their sign-off. “They were polite but firm—nothing goes online without their sign-off,” the source said. “They’ve built their brand on control, and they weren’t about to let a Kardashian post ruin that.”

As for the Kardashians, they reportedly aren’t thrilled with being told what to do. “Kris doesn’t like being told what to do—especially not by royals who live in Montecito. She said if Meghan and Harry want control, they can have it—just not on her guest list,” the insider added.
