Julie Allemand is a professional basketball player from Belgium, currently playing for the Los Angeles Sparks in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and for Fenerbahçe in the Turkish Women’s Basketball Super League. She was chosen by the Indiana Fever in the third round of the 2016 WNBA draft. Additionally, she was part of the Belgian national team that secured victories in the EuroBasket Women 2023 and EuroBasket Women 2025 championships.
Born on July 7, 1996, in Liege, Belgium, Julie Allemand began her basketball journey in her childhood, demonstrating remarkable skills and talent.
Her professional career commenced in 2014, during which she played three seasons for the local club BC Castors Braine. During her contact, she won the Belgian League three times and the Belgian Cup twice.


In the 2016 WNBA draft, Julie Allemand was selected by the Indiana Fever in the third round. She played in Europe from 2016 to 2019 before joining the Fever for the 2020 season. During her rookie year, she had an impressive performance, averaging the second-highest assists per game in the league at 5.8. She earned a spot on the 2020 AP All-Rookie team. However, she did not participate in the 2021 season, citing mental health challenges and burnout following the Olympics.


Prior to the commencement of the 2022 season, Julie Allemand was traded to the Chicago Sky as part of a three-team transaction. She decided to opt out of the 2023 season in order to concentrate on her obligations with the Belgium national team.


On 19 February 2024, Julie Allemand was traded, along with Li Yueru and a third-round pick in the 2025 WNBA draft, to the Los Angeles Sparks in return for the eighth selection in the 2024 WNBA draft. She was unable to participate in the 2024 season as she was recuperating from an injury to her right ankle.

On the international stage, Julie Allemand took part in the 2018 and 2022 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. She represented Belgium at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics; however, she was unable to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympics due to injury. She received recognition as a member of the EuroBasket All-Star Five in 2021, 2023, and 2025, with Belgium finishing third in 2021 and securing victories in the 2023 and 2025 tournaments.
