White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt faced fierce criticism after she bragged about renovating the building’s West Wing in a post on X. The post references Donald Trump’s claim that officials in Joe Biden’s administration used an autopen.

In the post, she shared a news article about the Presidential Walk of Fame in the West Wing, which displays black-and-white portraits of presidents in gold frames along the colonnade. All former US leaders’ portraits are included except for Joe Biden, who is represented by a photo of an autopen.
Trump’s nasty jab at his predecessor, who is fighting an aggressive form of prostate cancer, follows his previous repeated claims without evidence that Biden administration officials may have forged Biden’s signature using the autopen. Officials may have made key decisions Biden was unaware of, according to Trump, who relentlessly makes digs at his predecessor.

Numerous people flooded the comment section of Leavitt’s post to slam Trump for mocking Biden. One person wrote, “As someone who voted for Trump, let me tell u that this is extremely despicable and classless. A second said, “I feel like we are in high school.
Another said, “It was funny as a passing joke, but this is just stupid and petty. The WH should hold itself to a higher standard”, reports the Irish Star.

“A third wrote, “What a terrible example to be set for the children of this country. The President should be ashamed of himself.” A fourth individual chimed in, “And you’re proud of this? Does this show class? Reflect your ‘Christian values’?Discourage hate?”
A fifth added, “Your WH is run by a bunch of high school ‘mean girls’. It’s pathetic.”
In June, Trump initiated an investigation into Biden’s actions and autopen use in a memorandum that references Biden’s “cognitive decline. ” Biden later brushed off these suggestions in a statement, asserting, “Let me be clear: I made the decisions during my presidency.

“I made the decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations. Any suggestion that I didn’t is ridiculous and false.
“Trump had earlier hinted that a photo of an autopen image would take the place of his predecessor’s portrait. He disclosed his plans in a chat with The Daily Caller, stating, “We’ll put up a picture of the autopen. “Trump’s memo also urged the president’s counsel to investigate whether “certain individuals conspired to deceive the public about Biden’s mental state and unconstitutionally exercise the authorities and responsibilities of the President.

” It further mandates that the investigation encompass “any activity, coordinated or otherwise, to purposefully shield the public from information regarding Biden’s mental and physical health” and “any agreements between Biden’s aides to cooperatively and falsely deem recorded videos of the President’s cognitive inability as fake. “
President Biden has also requested a review of the policy documents for which the autopen was allegedly used, including clemency grants, Executive Orders, Presidential memoranda, or other Presidential policy decisions.
“Biden’s team has refuted claims that they tried to hide his declining health from the public during his final years in office.While aboard Air Force One in March, Trump told reporters he seldom uses an autopen. He said: “I mean, we may use it, as an example, to send some young person a letter, because it’s nice. … But to sign pardons and all of the things that (Biden) signed with an autopen is disgraceful.”

Trump had previously relocated portraits of other presidents including Barack Obama. He also swapped out former first lady Hillary Clinton’s portrait with one of himself.
