Kate Middleton and Tiffany Trump were among the honored guests at the Sept. 17 state banquet held at Windsor Castle, where the British royal family hosted President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and other members of the U.S. delegation. The event, which featured 160 distinguished guests, was a lavish affair, with every detail, from the silverware to the seating arrangements, carefully planned. However, the pairings in the royal procession sparked attention from both royal fans and political followers.
The procession began with King Charles, 76, and President Trump, 79, followed by Queen Camilla, 78, and Melania, 55. Prince William, 43, walked with Paula Reynolds, Chair of the National Grid, while Kate Middleton, 43, followed alongside Michael Boulos, a business executive married to Tiffany Trump, Donald Trump’s daughter. Tiffany, 31, who was attending the event as the only child of Donald and his second wife, Marla Maples, was placed five spots behind her husband. She walked in with Apple CEO Tim Cook.
In the royal procession, Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, were also separated. Anne walked fifth, paired with U.S. Ambassador to the U.K. Warren Stephens, while her husband followed with U.S. healthcare executive Dame Vivian Hunt.
At the banquet table, Boulos, 28, was seated next to Kate, while Tiffany sat four seats down, positioned between Tim Cook and David Owen, the spouse of biotech CEO Dame Emma Walmsley. Tiffany, who had previously joined the Trump family in the U.K. for her father’s first visit in 2019, was notably less visible during that trip compared to her older siblings Ivanka, Donald Jr., and Eric.
Tiffany’s attendance at the state banquet was significant as she was the only one of Donald Trump’s five children to accompany him on his unprecedented second state visit as U.S. president. Since marrying Boulos in 2022, Tiffany and Michael have been frequent attendees at special events, including her father’s presidential nomination, his second inauguration, and his recent birthday military parade.
