Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra’s Miami home was engulfed in flames, as seen in local news broadcasts that showed first responders battling a massive fire Thursday.
Property records show that the home — a single-family residence in the area of Davis Road and Ponce De Leon Road — belongs to Spoelstra, according to NBC Miami.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said they were called to a fire at around 4:36 a.m.

Firefighters found “two structures on the property fully involved” in fire, and called for back up.
“Due to a partial collapse, units switched to a defensive attack, and are still working to extinguish the fire,” fire rescue said.
Spoelstra arrived at his home shortly after the Heat’s plane landed in Miami following a 122-112, to the Nuggets in Denver on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.
Local 10 News shared video believed to be Spoelstra outside the home as the fire raged and looking “visibly distraught.”

The fire was contained to the property and no nearby homes were damaged, county officials said, adding that more than 20 units responded to the fire, fighting it both on the ground and in the air.
No injuries have been reported so far.
Spoelstra bought the five-bedroom, six-bathroom home in December 2023, per property records.
