An awkward exchange ensued on Tuesday’s edition of the Today show between host Jenna Bush Hager and guest Minka Kelly over a question about the star’s love life.
It didn’t seem Kelly was comfortable with the line of questioning, based off her body language
Bush Hager then mentioned a recent social media message Kelly left for Reynolds.
‘I think you posted this message saying he healed wounds he didn’t inflict – that’s beautiful,’ she told Kelly.
The Roommate star replied, ‘It is beautiful – I’m very lucky – he’s a really good guy.’
The brief, milquetoast answers from Kelly appeared to indicate to Bush Hager that the Friday Night Lights actress was not keen to continue with the line of questioning about her personal life.
Bush Hager tried to put a bow on the topic by saying, ‘Sounds like you don’t want to talk about it – that’s fine.’
Olivia Munn, who was guest hosting with Bush Hager, helped kill the awkward vibes by relaying kind sentiments about her past work experience with Reynolds on the video for the 2021 track Cutthroat.
‘I love Dan – we did his music video – it was the first thing I did after COVID,’ Munn said. ‘I was actually pregnant, and no one had known yet … he was so kind. I loved the whole band … I’m really happy for you.’
Bush Hager told Kelly, ‘Sounds like you don’t want to talk about it – that’s fine.’

Reynolds in 2022 parted ways with his ex-wife, musician Aja Volkman after 10 years of marriage and four children with one another.
‘I am saddened to say that after many beautiful years together Aja and I have separated,’ he said at the time. ‘Being great parents to our children is our number one priority.
‘Thank you for always supporting us with love and care for all these years.’
The singer and Euphoria actress were spotted later that year grabbing dinner at Cafe Stella in Los Angeles.
