Judge Jeanine Pirro, who now serves as the U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., has provided a promising update on the Trump administration’s initiatives to curb crime in the nation’s capital.
Her recent remarks highlight a significant decline in major criminal activities, a testament to the administration’s effective law enforcement strategies.
According to Gateway Pundit, Pirro’s update underscores a stark contrast between current crime statistics and those from previous years. The data reveals a substantial decrease in violent crimes, carjackings, homicides, and gun-related offenses.
Despite these positive developments, there seems to be a conspicuous silence from Democrats and mainstream media outlets, who appear reluctant to acknowledge these successes. This reluctance raises questions about their motivations, as they seem disinclined to report on the administration’s achievements in crime reduction.

As reported by Townhall, Pirro elaborated on the administration’s efforts, stating, “Here I am in D.C., and we’re still talking about the surge. It’s been a little over three months, from August 7th to November 17, and the number of arrests are 6,362. The number of guns seized are 610 guns.” She further contextualized these figures by comparing them to 2023, noting, “The violent crimes were 60 percent higher in 2023 than they are right now as a result of the surge. Carjackings in 2023 were 80 percent higher. Homicides were 72 percent higher. And violent gun crimes were 75 percent higher.”
Pirro emphasized the impact of coordinated law enforcement efforts, stating, “The difference even between 90 days before the surge and the surge is dramatic.”
The Trump administration’s approach, which prioritizes the arrest and incarceration of criminals, has evidently contributed to making the streets safer for law-abiding citizens. Pirro’s leadership in this role has been commendable, reflecting President Trump’s commitment to restoring safety and order in the capital.

The question remains: when will Democrats acknowledge their misjudgment in criticizing President Trump’s efforts to enhance public safety in Washington, D.C.? Their initial opposition has seemingly dissipated in light of the declining crime rates, yet their silence persists.
This shift in narrative invites speculation about the underlying reasons for their reticence to discuss the administration’s success in this critical area.
