Prince Harry recently found himself at the center of unsettling incidents involving a woman whom security described as a “stalker.” The woman, reportedly known to his security team, was found hiding in a hotel toilet just 20 minutes before the duke was scheduled to attend a charity event. This event, the WellChild Awards in London, on September 8, marked the first of two consecutive days during which Harry’s staff had to step in to handle the situation.
At The Royal Lancaster Hotel, the woman was reportedly found in the ladies’ room making “odd comments” about Harry. Security quickly intervened, and she was removed from the premises just moments before the Duke of Sussex’s arrival. Despite the earlier security sweep, which included police and sniffer dogs, the woman was seen standing near Harry’s car, prompting additional concern. Two days later, as Prince Harry left Imperial College’s Centre for Blast Injury Studies in West London, the same woman was spotted again, and Harry’s staff had to “body-block” her from getting too close as he departed. Notably, there was no police presence, and it was left to two staff members from his office to handle the situation, which they managed to defuse without further escalation.
Sources close to Harry’s team revealed that the woman, believed to have mental health issues, is on a list of “fixated individuals” known to the prince’s private security. She had also previously followed Harry and Meghan during their trip to Nigeria in May 2024. Despite the distressing nature of these incidents, Harry has not received automatic police protection, as his legal challenge for it was unsuccessful, given that he is no longer a working royal.
The ongoing security concerns add to the growing tension surrounding Prince Harry, who has been vocal about feeling unsupported by the royal family. His recent claims of “sabotage” and the friction between him and his father, King Charles III, continue to make headlines, with critics suggesting that his struggles might go beyond the publicized rifts with the royal family. While Harry grapples with his personal and security challenges, these incidents serve as a stark reminder of the ongoing pressure he faces, both from external forces and within his own family dynamics.
